Basics About Your Body and Your Sexuality
The editors of Men's Health magazine have compiled a series of excellent books of basic information about male bodies, men's health, and sexuality. So often, men are afraid to ask questions--maybe we're afraid it makes us look ignorant about things we "should" know about. But do you know where the prostate is and what it does? What about all those sex questions your Dad never told you about and you've been afraid to ask?
The value of these books is that they're written in a breezy, journalistic style. They present solid information in a way that's entertaining to read. They're wonderful gifts from a woman to the man she cares about. They're wonderful books to give to an adolescent son, so he can find out his own information about the "birds and bees" in the privacy of his own room. But, mainly, they're wonderful books to give to yourself. You can find answers to the questions you were afraid to ask. And no matter how much you already know about your body and sexuality, you'll learn something.
The two basic books, both of which I recommend highly, are:
Rodale Press, publishers of Men's Health and these men's health books, also has an excellent series of what they call "Life Improvement Guides." The one that appeals to me the most is: Stress Blasters: Quick and Simple Steps to Take Control and Perform under Pressure. Order on-line There are times when I get stressed out--don't we all? Yes, there are hints for quick ways to reduce stress level, for example through breathing and relaxation. But their approach is to examine a wide range of areas that cause stress in a man's life, and offer sound, practical advice in each area. There's the usual focus on humor, exercise, diet, sleep and the like. But there are also chapters on life-crises. These include being alone, dealing with loneliness, dealing with grief, getting married, raising kids, dealing with money issues, getting divorced, dealing with sexual harassment at work, and about every life-stress imaginable.

Holistic and Alternative Approaches to Health
The secret to good health is in maintaining good health, through a healthy and wholesome lifestyle. There are many good books that talk about holistic approaches to keeping healthy.
